To mark the first anniversary of their store in Aoyama district of Tokyo, Original Fake has collaborated with Los Angeles art magazine Arkitip,and renowned artist KAWS to produce this special Incase custom laptop sleeve. The sleeve also serves as the packaging for the upcoming special anniversary issue of Arkitip magazine available from July 15th. Subscription to Arkitip Magazine doesn’t come cheap: Half a year (3 issues) is $75.00 and 1 year (6 issues) is $130.00.
Sony VAIOs New Graphic Splashes
To mark the beginning of spring, Sony Yesterday unleashed more graphic splashes for its VAIO line of notebooks. The two tone dots in black and white or brown and turquoise are available for both the 15.4" FE series and the 13.3" C series. Also the C series gets the exclusive pink blossom and weathered red patterns, while the FE series has the charcoal blossom and the weathered blue. The specs..are still the same. The FE series is available now for $1000, while the C series will be available on the 17th of April.
Asus Lamborghini VX2
Asus apparently launched their much rumored Lamborghini VX2 laptop at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES), although I didn't see it there. Anyway according to Engadget, the U.S version is dropping in the 3rd quarter and will feature a 15.4" WSXGA + display, Centrino Pro or Core 2 Extreme processor, 512MB NVIDIA 8700, and a 1.3 Mega-pixel camera.......More features>>> The European version will have different features, and is dropping in the 2nd quarter.

Booth babes move over, the guys at builtny got it. At the recently concluded CES, the builtny booth had this two guys in orange overall instead of the typical eye candy who attracts all the nerds to the booth. Don't get me wrong, the guys did a wonderful job, they where friendly compared to some booth babes who normally ignore you, have better things to do like stare at their nails and have little or no knowledge about the products......Anyway I have nothing against booth babes, especially the ones at Yahoo! Thanks for the ice-cream. I thought Alienware was the only company that offered custom high performance PCs and Laptops, I guess I was wrong. Falcon Northwest recently unleashed this Intel Core 2 Duo FragBook TLX 'Thin and light' series model. Less than an inch and a half thick, and weighing in at 7.5 pounds, it would make 'Houdini wonder how it was done.' Blu-ray on Dell is it too soon?
Dell has jumped into the Blu-ray (Blu-ray can store 5 times the amount of a dual-layer DVD) frenzy and added Blu-ray to their newest laptop offering, the XPS-m1710. It includes the Blu-ray drive and is probably working to keep up with competition. Sony and Toshiba have been ahead of the game with past releases. The XPS-m1710 now comes with the ability to save up to 50GB of data to a Blu-ray disk. I was just asking friends and family what they used for backup options and this certainly would have plenty of room for that. Do you need that much storage on a notebook? Someone does and I'm sure it won't be long until we're all using high storage options, but I can't help but think this is a little overboard for now. Focused, most likely, on power users, this laptop from Dell will be a good bit ahead of other releases and might keep you from having to upgrade anytime soon. Priced at $3,699, those that purchase really need to be serious about storage options.
