Wired magazine and Living Homes have teamed up to create an efficient green house. Dubbed the ‘Wired LivingHome,’ the 4057 sq foot house will feature a 4 kilowatt solar power and energy efficient appliances from the likes of Hp and …… Located in an exclusive L.A enclave, Crestwood hills, the 4 million home will feature green building materials, and should be ready by fall this year. The house will be reconstructed from an existing house, which instead of being demolished will be deconstructed, therefore less materials will be sent to the landfill. Working closely with a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping usable building materials out of the landfills, will ensure a 75% reuse and repurpose of materials.  via  metaefficient

If you  live in a house with a lawn, you know how costly lawn care can be. To cut costs: trim your lawn after work instead of employing someone else, but you still need the equipment. That’s why you should thank designer Gustav Landberg, who designed this three in-one Lawn gizmo: It will mow, collect the leaves and also during winter act as a snow blower.(I didn’t know you can blow on snow)

It will also save you space since its doing three different Jobs that would have required the presence of a trio. Not sure if it’s just a concept, or has already gone into production. [yankodesign]

Samsung has a successor for their U2 Mp3 player, the U3. The 25mm tall Mp3 player, features a built-in FM radio, 4GB for you to store up to 1000 songs, voice recorder capabilities, record up to 33 hours of voice (ideal for keeping an audio diary or schedule) and it’s available in five colors: pink, green, blue, black and white.

Another gadget for todays round-up is the 0ral B Triumph Toothbrush which features a ‘SmartGuide’ for proper tooth brushing. All your wisdom teeth can finally come into contact with a toothbrush. The smartguide can be placed on the sink , and it will let you know how long you’ve been brushing, and if you happen to gag, it will wirelessly communicate with you toothbrush and let you where to continue from.

Microsoft Surface Computing

Forget all you know about your computer, Microsoft is bound to change computing with its newest creation craftily titled Microsoft Surface. The coffee table look alike has no cables, external USB ports, keyboard or mouse- Surface's only apparent way of operation is in its multi-touch screen. The table can also be built with wireless transceivers (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and ultimately radio frequency identification). LG's Sleek Projector

With all the new sleek gadgets, you would think projectors would spot a new aesthetic appearance. Thats not the case, they still look ancient, that might change. LG's  AN110 projector won the 2006 Red-dot Design Awards for its look. It features a mirror finish on its front acrylic panel, can be easily mounted on a wall, placed on a desktop or let it free-stand on its base.
